WGSN: Quick Start Without Using A Personal Account

For a quick start using WGSN (without a personal WGSN account):

  1. Start with the link below or via the SCAD Libraries website
  2. Go to https://0-www.wgsn.com.library.scad.edu/accounts/edu/
  3. If you are not on the SCAD network you will be prompted to log in with last name and ID number.
  4. On the WGSN EDU page click 'log in' (see screenshot below)
  5. You will be taken to the WGSN homepage, and can immediately begin searching, exploring and downloading. (No need to log in again.) As long as the library link above is used, WGSN may be accessed from any location.

Note: The quick start method does not provide the use of personal workspace / folders, or some design tools. To gain access to these, create a personal account following steps on this page, below.

WGSN: Create a New Personal Account (First Time Users)

If you have not previously created an account with WGSN:

  1. Start with the link below or via the SCAD Libraries website
  2. Go to https://0-www.wgsn.com.library.scad.edu/accounts/edu/
  3. If you are not on the SCAD network you will be prompted to log in with last name and ID number.
  4. On the WGSN EDU page click 'create a new account' (see screenshot below)
  5. Use your SCAD email address to sign up
  6. A confirmation will be emailed to you (check your spam folder if you don't see it)
  7. Locate the email, follow the login directions and accept the terms of use.
  8. Log in to WGSN

Once this process is complete, use your SCAD email and custom password to log in to WGSN from any location.

Good to know: WGSN accounts expire every 90 days. When prompted later on to re-activate your account, follow these steps.

WGSN: Log In With an Existing Personal Account (Returning Users)

If you have a current account with WGSN, you may log in to WGSN from any location, including off-campus.

Your username will be your SCAD email address.

Use the password that you previously created just for WGSN.

If you forgot your password, a new one can be emailed to you (check your spam folder).

Once you are logged in:

WGSN: Re-Activate Your Personal Account (Returning Users)

All WGSN users are required to re-activate their accounts every 90 days. Saved work and personal settings will be restored once you re-activate. You must be a current student, staff or faculty member to do this.

If you have been prompted to re-activate your account:

  1. Start with the link below or via the SCAD Libraries website
  2. Go to https://0-www.wgsn.com.library.scad.edu/accounts/edu/
  3. If you are not on the SCAD network you will be prompted to log in with last name and ID number.
  4. On the WGSN EDU page, click 're-activate account' (see screenshot below)
  5. Input the email address and password for your WGSN account
  6. Accept the terms of use
  7. Log in to WGSN

Once this process is complete, continue to use your email and password to log in to WGSN from any location.

Good to know: next time you see a re-activate prompt, follow these directions again.
