Interlibrary Loan Service

Interlibrary loan services:

  • Interlibrary Loan Borrowing:  Provide current students, faculty and staff access to resources from other institutions that are not available in SCAD Libraries collections or databases.
  • Ship-to-Home Program: Provide books and photocopies held in SCAD Libraries U.S. collections as well as articles and photocopies from Non-SCAD libraries to eLearning students and faculty who do not reside in the city or surrounding area of a U.S. SCAD library. 
  • Interlibrary Loan Lending: Provide access to materials from SCAD U.S. Libraries collections to other institutions across the country and articles internationally.

Who is eligible?

  • Only current faculty, staff, and students with a valid SCAD ID at the Atlanta and Savannah locations are eligible to use the Interlibrary Loan Borrowing service to request books and articles
  • Faculty, staff, and students with delinquent fines for library materials may not use Interlibrary Loan, until the fines and.or fees are paid.

Please note:

  • Materials may not be requested on behalf of someone else.
  • Materials may not be placed on course reserves.
