JSTOR
Database containing full-text articles from scholarly journals and images from institutions around the world covering a variety of subjects.

Digital Image Database
Image database maintained by the SCAD Visual Resources Center. DID contains a custom array of digitized images for the SCAD community.
The Digital Image Database (DID) contains images from prehistory through the twenty-first century in a wide range of topic categories covering all majors at SCAD. Searches can also be conducted by location, material, media, artistic movements, or artist name. In addition to published work, DID also contains student and faculty work. Daguerreobase
Daguerreobase is an online application designed to contain detailed information about daguerreotypes. Members can view, edit and store records of individual daguerreotypes and establish relations to other records based on a wide range of characteristics. This includes collections, owners, creators, hallmarks, housing models, sizes, materials and descriptions.

Prints & Photographs Online Catalog (PPOC) from Library of Congress
The collections of the Prints & Photographs Division include photographs, fine and popular prints and drawings, posters, and architectural and engineering drawings. While international in scope, the collections are particularly rich in materials produced in, or documenting the history of, the United States and the lives, interests and achievements of the American people.

Maison Europeenne de la Photographie
The MEP collections span the history of international photography from the 1950s to the present. With 24,000 photographic works, 110 artists' videos, 800 documentary and experimental films and 36,000 books and periodicals, together they reflect the full range of artistic approaches to the photographic medium, from reportage and fashion work to contemporary practices.

Yes! In addition to citing written sources (like articles and books), it's good practice to cite image sources as well.

How do I cite images?

The handout below, developed by the Writers' Studio, provides guidelines for image citation that are widely accepted at SCAD. The style manuals for APA, MLA, Chicago and Turabian styles can also be consulted regarding image citation.
