Finding and Using Library Resources

How to Locate and Check Out DVDs

  • Search for DVDs through the catalog search box using keywords such as film title, director, cast names, etc. OR...
  • Narrow search results to DVDs by using advanced search. Type in a keyword, then select "Video/DVD" in the Material Type dropdown menu.
  • Write down the call number of the DVD you want and bring it to the main service desk - library staff will pull DVDs for you
  • Some DVDs need to stay in the library, but most can be taken home. DVDs that say "circulating DVD collection" under the "location" column can be borrowed for 4 consecutive days with no renewals
  • DVDs cannot be requested from other campuses through intra-SCAD loans.
